Your wedding hese have ranged from the very grand - for the heir of Somerleyton Hall, The Honourable Hugh Crossley’smarriage to Lara - to a 1950s-themed wedding complete with tea-party and vintage vehicles - to the most privatebooking I’ve ever had the privilege to be part of: the engagement of one man to one woman in The Vaults at The Angel Hotel in Bury. Just them, just me – ah….!
For the Ceremony, I arrive in time to play for your guests assembling, then for the Bride’s entrance, I pride myself in timing your song or piece exactly, and so always liaise with Registrars beforehand. If your choices aren’t already in my repertoire, I can learn to a maximum of three new pieces to include Entrance, Signing of the Register (usually two pieces are possible here) and Exit of the Bride and Groom. I may ask you to send me sheet music or an audio/video link if necessary.
I always liaise with the venue. If there is a piano available, and it is in the room you would like to use (and in tune!), then please ask the venue for permission. If there is no piano, I can bring my own (please make sure electric is available). Alternatively, a combination of both is possible, for example if the ceremony room is inside but the wedding breakfast in a marquee. You may also like to consider using the chapel sound for the Ceremony, as it gives a unique tone.
Options depend on the weather on the day. I do my best to take account of this and sometimes play indoors with the amplifier positioned outside.NB: if you are booking for Ceremony + Wedding Breakfast, I have to charge a nominal amount for the intervening time whilst Drinks are served, as this is still time at the venue. Similarly I will have to charge if you require me to arrive early to practise beforehand, either with anaccompanist or for rehearsal purposes. Please see the Terms and Conditions page for more details.
